Ned Kelly is the most popular bush ranger in Australia. Ned was born in Beveridge, Victoria in June 1855.
His father John Kelly was convicted of pig stealing and got sent to Van Dieman's Land which is now called Tasmania to serve his time. after John serve his time their family moved to Avenel, Victoria and that is where John Kelly died in 1866. Then their family moved again to Greta, Victoria.
In 1869 Ned was arrested for assaulting a Chinese person and spent 10 days untill the charge was dismissed. In 1870 Ned was convicted of a variety of offences and spent six months Imprisonment. After being removed from jail in 1874 Ned worked as a timber-getter. Ned died on the 11th November 1880 in Melbourne, Victoria. Ned was Captured a Hanged.
